Habana Coqui offers Cuban and Caribbean cuisine, including its popular (and enormous) Cuban sandwiches, Ropa Vieja beef, empanadas, Cuban coffee, and other classic dishes. Owners Sigfredo and Jennice Rodriguez opened it in August 2016, and the restaurant has since built a devoted following among local foodies and members of the Bangor region's Hispanic population.

A breath of fresh air! The proprietors are the friendliest people I've ever met in Maine. The chef (the husband) has mastered his recipes from daily practice in Cuba, bringing these delightful flavors and unique tastes of utter mouthwatering deliciousness to his every meal! They have a dedicated clientele and I've recently become one of them and by this review I'm hoping to create more of them. A must not miss place, beats Las Palapas in the food quality and friendly atmosphere by a mile. It was so amazing, I wrote it on their wall!

Your rice-beans bowl is the best I've ever had. Your coffee--without milk or sugar—is perfect. If Americans ate at your cafeteria three times a week, obesity would decline, opioid addiction become extinct, and Starbucks file for Chapter 13. Thanks you for making food fresh from the family kitchen.

Try the media noche! Their staff is friendly and the food is delicious. It takes a bit because it is made from scratch so don't go if you're in a hurry. Totally worth it! My husband makes me bring their sandwiches to Pennsylvania for him. (Where we live, I work down there)

I've wanted to try this place for a long time, and I finally went by today. It did not disappoint, I tried the ropa vieja, cubasi sandwich, and guava pastry. Everything was DELICIOUS!! The service was excellent, I highly recommend.
